WoW Forever guide
Every WoW Forever Class: What Each One Plays Like Now
All nine WoW Forever classes in one place: the three trees, the new 31-point talents, the new baseline spells, which races can play each, and a link to its talent calculator.
WoW Forever ships the nine original classes on rebuilt talent trees: 470 talents across 27 trees, 119 of them new, and 14 new 31-point talents. There is no new class. The profiles below give each class's trees, its new capstones, the baseline spells that changed, the races that can play it, and one honest sentence about who it suits. Each links to its calculator page, which has a longer write-up and three ready-made builds.

If you cannot decide
- You want the game to feel like Classic: Mage or Warrior. Their trees changed least, and Frost and Arms level the way they always did.
- You want to see what is new: Paladin, Shaman or Warlock. Those three account for 51 of the 119 new talents and eight of the 14 new capstones.
- You want to be wanted in groups: Priest or Druid. Both healing trees gained the tools raids expect (Prayer of Mending, Wild Growth), and both have a leveling tree that does not require a respec to heal a dungeon.
- You want the new race: Skyborne can be a Warrior, Hunter, Rogue or Druid on either side, plus Shaman (Horde) or Mage (Alliance). The Skyborne guide has the racials.
Whichever you pick, the race and class table shows every combination, and the talent changes guide has the tree-by-tree detail behind the numbers above.
Frequently asked
- Are there new classes in WoW Forever?
- No. The nine Classic classes are all there is. What is new are six race and class combinations (Undead Paladin, Dwarf Shaman, Human Hunter, Gnome Priest, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock) and the Skyborne race.
- What is the best class in WoW Forever?
- There is no tuning data yet; the game is not out. For leveling, Warrior, Hunter, Mage and Warlock have the smoothest trees. For a Classic veteran wanting the fewest surprises, Mage. For the most new toys, Paladin, Shaman or Warlock.
- Which class changed the most?
- Warlock by removals (17 talents gone) and Paladin by additions (20 new). Shaman is the only class with three new 31-point talents.
- Can I play a hybrid as a healer while leveling?
- More easily than in Classic. Druid's Naturalist adds damage, Priest's Discipline has damage talents in row one, and Shaman's Restoration tree includes Water Shield and Mindfulness for mana. The calculator's PvE builds are the healing builds.
- Where are the class talent trees?
- On this site's calculator, one page per class, with every rank's text from the BlizzCon 2026 demo and a Classic comparison. Open the calculator.
