WoW Forever Races and Classes: The Complete Combination Table
Every race and class combination in WoW Forever, including the six new ones (Undead Paladin, Dwarf Shaman, Human Hunter, Gnome Priest, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock) and both Skyborne variants.
WoW Forever has ten playable races, counting the Skyborne twice because their class list depends on faction, and nine classes. The demo's character screen allowed 56 combinations. Six of them are new to the original races (Orc Mage, Undead Paladin, Troll Warlock, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest), and the two Skyborne variants add 10 more. The table below is generated from the same data as the racials page; new combinations are marked.

The six new combinations
- Undead Paladin. The one Blizzard showed in the trailer. Will of the Forsaken, Cannibalize and a Priest-style Dark Sacrifice for the Undead Priest suggest the Forsaken get a faith of their own rather than the Light's blessing; the demo spellbook came from an Undead Paladin, so it is confirmed playable at 38.
- Dwarf Shaman. Stoneform and Mace Specialization on a class that wields maces. The first Alliance Shaman.
- Human Hunter. Sword Specialization now applies to spells and abilities, so it is relevant to a class that rarely swung a sword.
- Gnome Priest. Expansive Mind's 5% Mana, plus the Gnome-specific Priest spells Confounding Flash and Contingency Plan seen in the demo.
- Orc Mage. Blood Fury now raises Spell Power as well as Attack Power, which is what makes this combination work.
- Troll Warlock. Berserking on a Shadow Bolt caster. Troll Priest spells were not seen in the demo, so Troll caster racials beyond Berserking are the least documented of the set.
Which class has the most options
Warrior can be any race (10 of 10). Rogue has 9, Hunter has 8, Priest has 6. Paladin has the fewest at 3. Paladin is still Alliance-leaning (Human, Dwarf) with Undead as the single Horde option, and Shaman is Horde-leaning (Orc, Tauren, Troll, Windshaper) with Dwarf as the single Alliance option.
Racials that changed underneath
Most Classic racials were rewritten, which changes a few old race-for-class defaults. Will of the Forsaken is a removal, not an immunity. Blood Fury adds Spell Power. The three weapon-specialization racials (Orc axes, Human swords, Dwarf maces) now give critical strike chance to spells and abilities rather than weapon skill, which no longer exists as a talent concept. Night Elf Shadowmeld stays, Elune's Light is a 10% crit cooldown, and Gnomes get Eureka!, a three-ability cost-and-power buff. Priest race spells
Priests keep race-specific spells. The demo showed Undead (Dark Sacrifice), Dwarf (Chastise, Desperate Prayer), Gnome (Confounding Flash, Contingency Plan), Human (Divine Grace) and Night Elf (a reworked Elune's Grace, Starshards). Troll Priest spells had not been seen. Fear Ward is baseline for every Priest, so Dwarf no longer has that advantage.
